Mike North is the Children and Young People’s Adviser for the Diocese of Sheffield (Anglican Church.) He has been in full time youth ministry since 1995 and ran an OCN accredited training course from St Michael le Belfrey (York) over a number of years. He is JNC qualified and has a BA Honours degree in Youth and Community Work with Applied Theology, and a Master of Arts degree in Media, Culture and Communication. Other interests and passions include: creative arts, new media and world mission (five years with the Church Mission Society).
Helen Cockayne is an experienced practitioner, having worked with children and young people in the church for almost 30 years. Her training includes a diploma in Children’s Evangelism and Nurture from Cliff College. Previously, Helen has been the Children and Youth Pastor at St Mark’s Church Haydock with a paid staff team responsible for recruiting and training volunteers to run the extensive youth and children’s programmes in the church and in a number of fresh expressions of church. For a number of years Helen has also worked in an advisory capacity for the Diocese of Liverpool. She is passionate about nurturing children’s faith and helping them find a living relationship with Jesus.
